Getting Involved in Missions at Fellowship Church
Since missions is such and intergral part of the life of Fellowship Church, we have found that often people begin to wrestle with whether they are called into foreign missions.
This is a significant question that may take years to figure out the if, when, where etc. Here are a few thoughts to help you along in your journey of discerning God’s will for your life in the area of missions:
#1: KNOWING: Know God, His Word, and His Glory in Missions
As you know more you will be about to discern more clearly God’s call on your life. There is a lot you can read in the Bible and otherwise that can help direct you in this area. Take advantage of the equipping classes and Sunday morning teachings. We also encourage you to take Perspectives on the World Christian Movement that is offered through Grace Bible every spring. The more I have grown in Knowing God, His Word, and His Glory in Missions, the more clearly I have been able to discern my role in the building of Hid kingdom.
#2: BEING: Be transformed into the image of Christ, grow in your character.
This is by far this is of utmost important in discerning God’s will for your life. If you do not obey His Word, you will be deceived. Our homegroups and accountability relationships are a key way to grow in character as we practice our faith in community.
#3 DOING: Do cross-cultural ministry.
This is how we begin to see if God has shaped us for this type of ministry. Get involved in one of the three cross-cultural ministries we have operating in this church: Chinese, Latino, and Muslim ministry.
Go on a short-term mission trip or an International LT.
Get involved in our Missions Mentoring Program
So KNOW, BE, AND DO and God will lead you.

Since 1994 we have had an outreach to the many Asian students attending Texas A&M. Currently there is a homegroup led by Asians ministering to Asians, and a American led homegroup of Americans co-laboring with the Asians in their efforts. Our local ministry has an international impact through the East Asia Project.

Short-Term Missions
Perspectives
Abandoned Devotion Gatherings are 5-8 hour gatherings, on campuses and in local churches, for the express purpose of seeking God through extended worship, uncompromising challenges, and radical prayer to see the message of Jesus spread globally in our lifetime. These gatherings have been catalytic on many campuses to stir a new hunger for more of Jesus and a new passion for reaching the forgotten globally. See below for more stories.
